Our client, a global outsourcing services provider, won the major contract to provide IT services and solutions to this international company. Ari successfully won the contract to support the Data Centre environment on behalf of the primary outsourcer.
The initial task was to conduct a full audit of a domain centred on a main Data Centre with associated computer rooms situated in various locations across a four square mile site. Data Centre plans were drawn up, server lists compiled, asset numbers allocated and recorded, visio diagrams completed and recommendations submitted. These recommendations included deep cleaning of the data centre, re-cabling of several racks, relocation of numerous outlying servers into a more suitable environment, simple re-design to eliminate hot spots', replacement of UPS systems and the re-organisation of the tape/media storage.
All of the recommendations have been successfully implemented.
We continue to provide Media Management, Hands & Eyes, Project and Network Support across this site and two other related sites for this customer.
