Service Description:24/7 Data Centre Operations Support

On behalf of a top ranking global IT company, at the start of 2002 our client acquired a new site which was due to become their primary Data Centre for the EMEA region. We have been involved since the inception of this Data Centre environment.
We assisted with initial server moves following consolidation of various Data Centres across the UK and Europe, writing procedures and documentation and drawing up Data Centre plans and asset lists.
The large site consists of three separate Data Centres totalling some 32,500 square feet and approximately 1850 rack spaces. Initially we were involved in full operations support covering back up management and scheduling, Intelligent Hands & Eyes and Media Management. We currently perform in excess of 11,000 tape mounts per month across 28 daily tape schedules. The site is fully manned on a 24/7 basis and we also provide assistance to a server build/hardware team.
We have been instrumental in developing the service capability of the site on behalf of our customer. During our tenure, we have assisted them in attaining and maintaining various industry accreditations including ISO/IEC 20000 and ISO/IEC 27001.
